Registration & events

7 answers
How do I register my team?

Start with the event you want to play. Registration continues in GotSport, where you select your team and division and complete the event’s application.

  1. Open your event from the FCTR Events calendar.
  2. Choose Register your team.
  3. Sign in to the GotSport account connected to your team.
  4. Complete the required information and review the terms, selected division, and final total before submitting.
Where can I find details for my tournament?

Your event page is the starting point for dates, divisions, fees, fields, hotels, and team information. Choose your event below, or open the full calendar for other editions and status updates.

Do I need a GotSport account?

Yes. FCTR’s linked tournament registrations use GotSport. Use the account with access to the participating team. If the team does not appear, check your club or team permissions before creating a duplicate team.

For help with the event application, contact FCTR Events and include the event, club, team name, and age group. Never send your account password.

What does registration cost, and when does it close?

Fees and deadlines vary by event and division. Check your event page and confirm the selected division and final amount in GotSport before submitting. Ask the FCTR team about any promotion, late entry, or waitlist rather than relying on a past event’s offer.

Does submitting an application confirm our spot?

Use your event’s GotSport registration status and organizer communications to confirm your team’s acceptance and any remaining payment or document requirements. If you are unsure whether your place is confirmed, contact the FCTR team before making final travel plans.

How do I change a division or correct registration information?

Check the team’s event registration in GotSport. If the change is unavailable or you need a division change, contact FCTR Events with the event name, club, team, current division, and requested correction. The event team can explain the available options.

Are Easter Cup and Easter Shootout the same event?

They are separate events. Easter Cup is in McKinney, Texas. Easter Shootout is in Corpus Christi, Texas. Check the city and event name before registering or booking hotels; formats and divisions differ.

Age groups & eligibility

Which age group is my player? View the full birth-date chart.

Find the range that includes your player’s full date of birth. The chart uses an August 1–July 31 cutoff; a birth year alone is not enough. Both dates in each range are included.

Example: July 31, 2017 is U10; August 1, 2017 is U9.

This is an age-group reference, not a list of divisions offered by every event. Confirm your selected event’s eligibility rules and division before registering.

Why can two players born in the same year have different age groups?

The age chart splits each year at August 1. For example, a player born July 31, 2014 is U13, while a player born August 1, 2014 is U12. Use the complete birth date and the chart’s date ranges.

Can a player or team play up an age group?

Ask the event team before registering in an older division or adding a player outside the listed range. Playing-up permission, guest-player eligibility, and team eligibility must be confirmed against that event’s rules and your registration affiliation.

Does every age group use the same format or roster limit?

Formats, match lengths, and roster maximums vary by event. A small-sided shootout can differ from a full-field tournament at the same age. Review your event’s division table and rules; if an age band overlaps, confirm the intended format before entering.

Are there events for adult teams?

Turkey Shootout and Easter Shootout publish adult small-sided divisions alongside youth competition. Check the selected event’s current divisions and registration options for eligibility and availability. The youth age chart does not determine adult-division eligibility.

Rosters & check-in

How do I upload team check-in documents?

FCTR’s upload guide follows this GotSport path. Menu labels can vary with your account and permissions.

  1. Sign in and open Team Management.
  2. Select your team, then Team Registrations.
  3. Select the event, open Registration, and choose Edit.
  4. Upload the official roster and the guest-player paperwork that applies. The linked guide asks for guest-player forms combined in one document.
How do I build the event roster in GotSport?
  1. Open Team Management, select your team, and choose Rosters.
  2. Select the correct tournament in the event dropdown and search.
  3. Clone the existing roster or add the participating players.
  4. Check jersey numbers, the event’s roster limit, and required staff/player approvals.
Do players, coaches, and managers need photos? What about jersey numbers?

FCTR’s team resources call for GotSport headshots for players, coaches, and managers. Every player also needs an individual jersey number; duplicate jersey numbers are not allowed. Check the profiles and event roster before check-in.

Can we bring guest players?

Review the selected event’s guest-player rules and roster maximums before adding a player. Add approved guest players to the event roster and complete the paperwork for the team’s registration affiliation. Guest-player and club-pass rules may differ.

Which roster or guest-player form should we use?

Use the paperwork for your team’s affiliation. The check-in page directs US Club Soccer teams with guest players to a loan form. Academy teams outside US Club Soccer are directed to an academy tournament roster signed by their NTSSA home-association registrar.

The NTSSA guest-player release is not a universal form for every team. If a link is unavailable or your affiliation is different, ask FCTR Events for the appropriate current document.

When is check-in due, and how many players can be on the roster?

Use your event’s published team information, division table, and organizer messages for the document deadline and roster maximum. These requirements vary across events and age groups. If you cannot find your deadline or need to correct an approved roster, contact the event team.

What are virtual passcards, and what should we bring to the field?

FCTR’s resources describe using GotSport virtual passcards on a smartphone for referee check-in before each game. Have the team’s cards accessible and follow your event’s roster and document instructions. If you cannot access a card, get help before kickoff.

A player is missing from our event roster. What should we do?

Check that you selected the correct team and event roster, then review that player’s registration, approvals, and required documents. If the player still does not appear or changes are locked, contact the FCTR team with your event, team, and age group for help before the match.

Hotels & travel

5 answers
What does stay-to-play mean?

FCTR publishes stay-to-play requirements for traveling teams: arrange your hotel through FCTR Travel and plan for a two-night minimum. Review the hotel policy and your event’s instructions before booking so your team meets the applicable requirements.

How do we book our team hotel?

Use the hotel instructions for your event, or contact Melinda Castellon at FCTR Travel for the current booking link and team arrangements. Include the event, team, travel dates, and approximate room needs.

Can we book on our own or request a hotel exemption?

Contact FCTR Travel before making independent reservations. Ask whether your team qualifies for an exemption or other approved arrangement, and obtain confirmation for your situation. Review the policy for compliance requirements and possible fees.

Where is our tournament being played?

Open your event page for the playing venue, directions, and available field map. Use the venue address listed for that event when planning your route. FCTR’s Addison office is a company contact address, not a tournament playing location.

When should our team arrive or depart?

Base travel plans on the published event dates, schedule, hotel requirements, and organizer instructions. If you need to know whether an early or late match could affect your travel, ask the event team before booking. Do not assume a requested kickoff time or specific departure window is available.

Game day & rules

7 answers
Where can I find schedules, accepted teams, and results?

Start on your event page and follow its current-season schedule or team-information links. If the schedule is not linked or you are unsure which edition you are viewing, contact FCTR Events. Check again for updates before heading to the field.

Where do I find a field map or directions?

Look under Fields on the selected event page for the venue address, directions, and available map. Match the field number on your current schedule to that event’s map. Ask event staff if a map or field assignment is unclear.

How do we know if weather affects our games?

Check your event’s current updates and official organizer messages for delays, field changes, and cancellations. Follow instructions from event staff at the venue. If an update is unclear or has no current timestamp, confirm with the event team before relying on it.

For questions about weather-related fees or refunds, review the terms for your specific event and contact FCTR Events.

Can we withdraw or receive a registration refund?

Review the withdrawal and refund terms provided for your event at registration. If you need help finding the applicable terms or requesting a withdrawal, contact FCTR Events with the event name, team, registration details, and reason for the request. The team can review your situation and explain the next step.

Who can help at the venue with an injury or game-day problem?

Find FCTR event staff or the event headquarters for help locating an athletic trainer or resolving a schedule, field, or score question. Use any current on-site contact published for your event. For an emergency, call 911 and alert nearby event staff.

Where can I find rules, tiebreakers, and score procedures?

Use the competition rules that apply to your event for match procedures, substitutions, disciplinary rules, standings, tiebreakers, and score questions. FCTR provides separate general and Corpus Christi rulebooks. Confirm which applies on your event page; do not assume all tournaments use identical rules.

What should families know about parking and venue policies?

Review the selected event’s venue information for parking, admission, and any facility restrictions. Ask the event team if you cannot find guidance on spectators, chairs, tents, pets, or accessibility. Venue policies and amenities can differ between locations.

Scouts, gear & updates

Where can college coaches and players find showcase information?

Start with the FCTR college scouts page and the selected showcase’s event information. Confirm current coach registration, participation, and any player opportunities for that edition. Past attendee lists do not confirm which colleges will attend a future event.

Where can we buy tournament merchandise?

Visit the FCTR Events shop for event collections and apparel. Check the product’s event edition, available sizes, and ordering details before purchasing. Merchandise availability is separate from tournament registration.

How can I stay up to date on FCTR Events?

Visit your event page for current information and watch the messages sent to your team’s registration contacts. You can also sign up for FCTR Events alerts and follow FCTR Events on social media for event news.

Who should I contact if I still need help?

Event, registration, roster, and general questions: email info@fctrsports.com or use the contact page. Include the event name, club, team, and age group so the team can help.

Hotels and travel: contact Melinda Castellon at mcastellon@fctrsports.com or (214) 460-2399.
